In short: nothing is stored on your device until you have said yes. Visits are counted cookielessly with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which needs no consent. On top of that I use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure my own marketing, and those do set cookies. They are activated only once you accept in the consent banner, and declining is exactly as easy as accepting. When you send the contact form, I process what you write in order to reply. Like any website, the systems behind the site also see your IP address, used for security and to stop spam.

What is processed
Three things. What you send via the contact form: name and e-mail, and optionally company, what it concerns, budget, timeframe and your message. The systems behind the site see your IP address, as any website does, processed for operations, security and to stop spam. And if you accept in the consent banner: Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies that measure how the site is used and whether an ad click led to an enquiry. If you decline, none of them are set, and the site works exactly the same.
Why, and the legal basis
The form: I process what you send to reply to you and, where relevant, to prepare a quote. The basis is my legitimate interest in answering your enquiry and taking the first steps towards an agreement you have asked for (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and (b)). The checkbox on the form only confirms you have read this policy; it is not itself the basis.
Operation and security: your IP address and the visit statistics are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and available (Article 6(1)(f)).
How long it is kept
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted once it's clear nothing will come of them, normally within a year. If we agree on a project, I keep what belongs to the client relationship for as long as it lasts, and accounting records for five years as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires. The visit statistics are aggregated and short-lived.
Who the data is shared with
The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting, visit statistics and Turnstile against spam), and messages from the form are delivered to my inbox via Resend. If you accept the consent banner, Google Ireland Limited processes data through Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. All of them are processors handling data on my behalf under a data-processing agreement. I don't share the data otherwise, and never sell it.
Both are US companies, so the data may be transferred to the USA. The transfer relies on the EU's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which both are certified under, with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) as a fallback. You can ask me for a copy of the safeguard.
Voluntary to provide
Sending the form is voluntary. But without at least an email address, I have no way to reply to you.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, ask to restrict the processing, or to receive it in a portable form (data portability). You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Emaildennis@moefrilans.no. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
Automated decisions
I use no automated decision-making or profiling that has legal effects for you.
